Congrats Gold Medallion Winners! To qualify for inclusion, students must have completed at least 30 hours at a University of South Carolina campus with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00, and have achieved a 3.95 or higher grade-point average for the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters while being registered each semester for 12 or more hours on the Sumter campus, of which at least six hours must be USC Sumter courses.

USC Aiken at Sumter students Jessica Griesi, Jazmine Wilkes and Jennifer Ziola were inducted as lifetime members of Beta Gamma Sigma. Beta Gamma Sigma is the premier honor society recognizing business excellence. Lifetime members of the Society have earned the right to be considered the "Best in Business."

USC Sumter Spring 2015 Dean's List

University Ambassadors represent USC Sumter both on and off campus. The core duty of this organization is to assist with new student orientation (SOAR), but Ambassadors also provide campus tours for prospective students and accompany the USC Sumter Admissions staff to various high school recruitment events.

USC Sumter students participated in one or more internship placements at companies, non-profits or campus departments in the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semester. USC Sumter's internship program places students with employers whose interests align with their studies. Each student works closely with the Palmetto Programs Coordinator and can earn credits toward their degree requirements for successfully completing the internship (depending on the placement).

USC Sumter Sophomore, Julia Sorrells, has been named the Fire Ant of the Week for the week of September 10-17, 2014.
