USC Sumter Named #2 Best Community College in South Carolina
Sumter, SC (09/04/2020) — The University of South Carolina Sumter is pleased to announce that USC Sumter was named the #2 Best Community College in South Carolina and the #27 Best Community College in America. This is the fourth year in a row that the campus has ranked second in the state.
"I'm very proud we have maintained our ranking in the state for the past four years," said Michael E. Sonntag PhD, USC Sumter Campus Dean. "It speaks volumes of the dedication of our campus especially during the recent challenges of the Covid pandemic. Being ranked highly and recognized by Niche for our hard work further demonstrates our value to Sumter, our larger service area, and the State."
Niche analyzes 4,150 colleges to create rankings and Niche Grades for all aspects of campus life, including academics, student life and value. These rankings and grades are based on rigorous analysis of academic, admissions, financial and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and alumni.
