USC Sumter Announces Campus Reopening

Sumter, SC (07/08/2020) — The University of South Carolina Sumter announced they will partially reopen campus in accordance with their recently completed return to campus plan.

In the first phase of the plan, a small percentage of workers will return to campus with their main priority being to help students who need to register for classes and answer any other questions students may have about attending USC Sumter.

USC Sumter will begin opening on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday, 8:30am- 5:00pm, with after-hours services available on each Wednesday until 7:00pm. Departments that will be open during those hours are Admissions, Advising and Registration, Financial Aid, Opportunity Scholars Program, and the Education department for those interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.

Those wishing to apply for admission as a new freshman should have their high school send official transcripts ahead of time. New transfer students should have all previous colleges send official transcripts. All documents should be sent to suadmiss@uscsumter.edu.

New or transfer students who are interested in being advised or registering for classes are asked to bring their proof of acceptance, VIP ID number and proof of citizenship which may include a driver's license, birth certificate, military ID (active duty only), or passport.

Anyone visiting USC Sumter must wear a mask at all times and maintain social distancing of at least 6' between individuals.

All visitors to campus must first visit the Williams Brice Edwards Administration Building at 200 Miller Rd. in Sumter. You will then be directed to the appropriate staff person for assistance.
