Lefford Fate to Speak at USC Sumter's Memorial Day Program

Sumter, SC (05/13/2022) — The Student Veteran Organization at the University of South Carolina Sumter will host a Memorial Day Program on Thursday, May 26 at 12 pm in the Lecture Hall of the Arts and Letters building on the campus of USC Sumter (200 Miller Rd.). Lefford Fate, the Support Services Director for the City of Sumter will be the keynote speaker at the event.

As part of the program, there will be a dedication of Memorial Day Tribute Crosses. The Student Veteran Organization will be pre-selling the crosses for $6 each. Each cross may be personalized with the name of a fallen military member. The crosses will be displayed on the lawn of the USC Sumter campus May 16 - 31. Crosses may be picked up after the Memorial Day Program or for an additional $4, the crosses can be mailed.

Proceeds collected will be donated to the USC Sumter Veterans Scholarship Fund.
