20th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Walk 2020
Sumter, SC (01/13/2020) — The University of South Carolina Sumter will host the 20th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Walk on Monday, January 20, 2020. The Dream Walk is a community effort created to acknowledge and celebrate the meaning and purpose of the holiday. Dream Walk 2020 is a 3-mile walk starting and ending at the USC Sumter Nettles Building. Registration for the walk will be at 8:30 a.m., with the walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. A program of celebration will be held after the walk at 11:00 a.m. to include speaker Lefford Fate, Service Director at the City of Sumter, and dedications by other participants. Commemorative t-shirts will be available for a $13 donation. The Dream Walk, sponsored by USC Sumter, Morris College and Central Carolina Technical College, is free and open to the public.
